    Ok…time to share photography details now that you seem comfortable with your Nikon!
    I am assuming you are shooting with your 5100 and the bee was on your Thai basil.

      Yes, with full 200 zoom, on a tripod and using the machine gun shutter setting. 75 Frames gave me about a dozen keepers and these are the better ones. I cropped them with the exception of the “in flight” one.
      Late this afternoon I went out and the lighting was good (thin cloud cover for a nice softbox effect and the basil was covered up; there were 3 or 4 dozen bumbles on the bed along with many more honey bees. Too tempting to pass up
