Uhhhh…….

November 14, 2012

mrs cohutt: “Arrgh…. what’s that thumping in the dryer!?!” as she walks through the kitchen to the laundry room

cohutt: “whatever”, to himself, rolling eyes… (Discreetly verifies his cell phone is in his pocket.)

mrs cohutt: ” (indistinguishable muttering) ”

cohutt: “What dear?”

mrs cohutt: “(surprised burst of laughter from the laundry room)”

cohutt: “What’s so damn funny?”

mrs cohutt: “only in our house is this possible……”

cohutt, dumbfounded: “(sound of eyes blinking)”

Yes, one partially dismembered but well laundered head of garlic was the cause of the mysterious thumping in our dryer.  At this point, I have no clue what else to say.

Amazingly no…. But I haven’t checked the laundry yet 😉

You might be becoming a farmer, but you aren’t one yet as evidenced by your discrete phone checking. You’ll know you’re a real farmer when you worry that maybe you’ve washed a hand-fork or (heaven forbid) an egg

    🙂

I’ve had cayenne peppers left in my pocked and laundered…
    Shows dedication and focus….

I’ll admit that Beans and peppers have made it into the wash before as well.

But they had an explanation….. 😉

Similar things have wound up in our laundry as well. Everything starts spiraling out of control from here! I think you may have hit rock bottom!

Perhaps you should call Thomas Keller and let him use this as the newest gastronomic trend.

I love this story! I don’t think I’ve washed produce from my pockets but I’ve broken the odd egg in an overalls pocket or a coat pocket…. It’s not a pretty picture or feel to it.

I started working & never got to see your posts…. I’ve been making up for lost time. I love your blog. Thanks for it!
