A Month Off

A lot going off in life + not a lot going on in the garden = A month off from this blog.
Basically all I’ve been doing back there is slowly reclaiming the garden from the dry remnants of summer’s overgrowth and finishing up this year’s poly tunnel/ “greenhouse”.
Speaking of which, I finished today (including installing a zipped door) a couple hours after snapping this pic. I have a decent stand of lettuce this year, which is nice considering the failure of last year’s attempt.
I’ve collected all the gourds that were mature enough to harden off after the freeze a few weeks ago.
Lots of big ones…
A few smaller apple gourds as well
Most of the garlic is up and looking pretty robust at this point, including this “creole red”:
At some point last summer a red mustard volunteer appeared @ the bottom of the side steps, how it got there I have no clue. It has turned into a monstrous “little shop of horrors” beast and I think I’ll just let it grow and see what happens….
That’s about it, Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving. Margaret

Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your month off.
Word of mouth in Rome has brought me to your blogsite. I shall roam around in it this weekend.
Welcome. This is documentation of just one of the many ways I aggravate my wife.
